This is absolutely beautiful and made by the finest silversmiths. Lay your table and eat with the finest! A very detailed and scarce dining table centre piece, very heavy. A beautiful item, not only of a truely German wartime icon but of a grace that is somewhat lacking today, a fine table piece and a sound investment (especially as silver prices continue to soar). Silverware like this only graces the finest tables, they are rarely found on the open market as many are passed down through the years within the Mess inventory, or where presented as wedding/leaving gifts by the Mess, they then remain within the families. The detail on the tank is staggering, it screams out the finest quality yet sits on its plinth in a very understated way, again the sign of true craftmanship, it does not need to say anything, it simply is! The tank is beautifully crafted by hands that are very accustomed to the high quality demanded by both the Officers and Warrent Officers & Sargeants Messes. This is simply the finest table decoration you can strive to own. On its base it is approx 11 x 7 inches and heavy. The tank itself measures some 10 inches in length by 5 inches width, standing almost 4 inches in height.
